The Youth Day of Saigon Diocese 2025 held on November 22 gathered more than 5,000 young people and 1,200 volunteers at the Pastoral Center, filling the entire space with an atmosphere that was both vibrant and deeply prayerful. With the theme “Hearts Ablaze,” the event invited young people to rediscover the fire of faith within themselves through
moments of encounter, prayer, sharing, and commitment.
The day opened with a series of inspiring workshops carrying meaningful titles such as Lighting the Flame of Hope, Fire Unleashed, Keeping the Flame Alive etc. Through lively and sincere sharing, the youth were encouraged to recognize signs of hope in their daily lives, to face challenges with inner strength, and to nurture the flame of the Gospel in the midst of
today’s world.
The most contemplative moments came during Eucharistic Adoration and the Mass, presided by Archbishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng. In his homily, the Archbishop invited young people to let their “hearts burn and feet move quickly,” becoming bearers of God’s love and light wherever they go. Between the main activities, carefully prepared musical performances added color and youthful energy to the entire gathering.
A Bridge of Vocation at Youth Day
Amid the lively flow of young people, the Religious of the Assumption were present with a warm and welcoming vocation booth. With the collaboration of the Vocation Promotion Team and sisters from Lê Văn Sỹ community, we joyfully welcomed hundreds of young people came to our booth. Interactive games and small handmade gifts created a friendly
and engaging atmosphere for all who stopped by.
One of the most meaningful spots was the prayer corner “A whisper to Mary,” where many people paused to write down their intentions to Our Lady—words of thanksgiving, personal worries, dreams, and future plans. At the end of the day, every intention was reverently brought back to the community. During the Liturgy of the Hours, the Sisters offered them all to Our Lady. In this quiet way, the Sisters continued to accompany the hopes and struggles of the young, even after the event had ended.
The Flame Continues
As Youth Day 2025 came to a close, each young person returned home carrying within them a renewed flame of hope and a deeper desire to live their faith with courage. The presence of the Religious of the Assumption became a meaningful highlight: introducing the beauty of religious vocation, sowing seeds of prayer, and offering spiritual encouragement. All these contributed to making the theme “Hearts Ablaze” not only an event slogan but a fire that continues to burn in the daily lives of young people today.
